Welcome to the Barron Library

It is our mission to support our students and staff in their use of information and technology for teaching, learning, creating, and personal growth. We strive to continuously develop a print and digital collection in a wide range of genres and resources that support the Salem School District curriculum as well as encourage a lifelong love of reading.

Library classes

We are so excited to welcome students to the school library!  Each class will visit once a week to borrow books and work on information literacy and digital citizenship skills.  Students in Grades 2-5 may borrow 2 books each week, and are expected to return them the following week at their library time.  Longer books may be renewed during library class.  Students in Grades K-1 will begin the year with 1 book at a time.  As the year progresses and they become responsible library citizens, they may be able to take 2 books as well.
