Holiday Party!

Hello, Everyone! On Thursday afternoon (12/22) we will be having our class holiday party!

Here is the sign-up for our party:

Please take a look and if you're able, sign up to contribute. Items can be sent in on 12/22. I would love to make reindeer food with the students on Thursday, so I added those materials as well if you would like to donate. I have also added 2 slots for volunteering for our party at 2PM on 12/22. It will be first come first serve.

Don’t forget your wrapped book for the book swap on 12/22! Woo-hoo!

We will also be having a holiday spirit week next week! Please see the attached PDF for additional details on our days! J

I truly appreciate all of your support!

Happy Holidays!

Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees!

It’s the most wonderful event of the year! The Festival of Trees is Barron’s largest school event and it displays all of our Barron Bobcats’ festive creativity as each classroom decorates their own tree with a theme they have chosen. Our theme is Christmas in the SAFARI!

We are looking for your help in making our tree amazing by donating items to help us decorate it!

Below is a link to the sign-up I have created. If you are able to contribute an item or two from our list, please indicate your choice(s) on the sign-up before 12/12 and send items into school with your child on or BEFORE 12/14. We really appreciate your support! We look forward to showing you the finished product, as well as some pictures!

I have provided five slots on 12/14 if you would like to volunteer to help set-up our tree at 10:00AM. I am also going to have the students paint some ornaments with animal prints during this time as well! J

Christmas in the Safari Sign-Up Genius:

If all slots fill, no worries, will we definitely have other opportunities for you to help in our classroom this year!

Festival of Trees will be held at Barron School on Friday, December 16th from 6:00PM-8:00PM.

We really appreciate all of your help in making this event fun and special for the students and the Barron Community!

Thank you so much,
Mrs. Ayles

Halloween Party

Halloween Parade + Celebration!

Hello Second Grade Families! On Friday, October 28th, 2022 we will have our annual Halloween Parade beginning at 2PM! Parents, guardians, and younger siblings are welcome to join us to view the parade! In the event of rain, our parade will be held indoors and will be viewed by Barron Staff and Faculty only.

You may park in either lot, then view the parade anywhere along the route which will begin at the Kindergarten doors. The students will walk down the walkway around the front of the building and over to the playground side of the building, then go back in the gym doors. (*There will be no visitors allowed into the school and all costume viewing will be outdoors only.)

Once the parade is over, students will return to the classroom for a celebration with their classmates. If your child does not want to participate in the celebration, they can be dismissed early or an alternative activity can be planned. Please let me know if this is the case!

Please view our Halloween Party Sign-Up Genius Here:

(Please do not worry if you are not able to contribute this time or if all items/spots are filled when you go to sign up! We will have many other opportunities for events + parties this year!)

COSTUMES: Friday will also be a costume day as part of our Red Ribbon Week. Students can wear costumes to school that won’t interfere with their daily classroom activities. If students have additional pieces to add to their costumes for the parade, they should be able to do that fairly independently --- please do not send large accessories to school.

Please save the hair dye, spray, and makeup for nighttime fun. Masks should not prohibit the students’ ability to walk or see. No weapons or violent accessories of any size may be brought to school.

NOTE:  Once Trick or Treating is over on Monday, October 31st - please monitor any treats that your child brings to school for his/her health and in consideration of any food allergies. We do not have any major food allergies in our classroom this year!

Thank you so much for your support!
Mrs. Ayles J
