LET'S MAKE SOME MUSIC!

For this lesson, you will need a household object that can make music.  (Examples: tupperware container, spoons, pencils, pots and pans.  BE CREATIVE!)

Using your knowledge of RHYTHM symbols like Du, and DuDe, and Shh, Follow along with the winter rhythm play-a-long below!

Try this next video without words.  As you play, also say the words "Du and DuDe".  ("PLAY and SAY")

Responding to Music:  Let's get CREATIVE!

Watch the following "Line Rider" video set to the theme from "Harry Potter".  Following and CREATING these animations are GREAT ways to respond and really LISTEN to music around us.

 

CREATE YOUR OWN LINE RIDER!

  1. Choose a song (school appropriate, of course!)
  2. Sketch out your line on paper.
  3. Try to RECREATE it on Google Slides using LINES and SHAPES.  BE CREATIVE!
