Team Maple: About the Teachers

Mr. DeGraffe

About Me

Hello! My name is Jared DeGraffe, I will be teaching Math on the 7th grade team Maple. I have taught for 4 years before coming to Salem in Auburn NH in both 7th and 8th grade Mathematics.

This is my second year here at Woodbury and I am so excited to be in my new classroom and in the new space! I cannot wait to make memories and connections with everyone coming into my room! Ask me about the number Zero and I will be more than impressed with you!

In my free time I love to be outside and hike as well as play with my dog and take her on every hike that I have been on! I have many hobbies and look forwarding to hearing about all of yours as well!

About Me

My name is Jennifer McDonough and I will be teaching Social Studies and Content Literacy on team Maple this year. This is my 23rd year  teaching in Salem. I look forward to teaching and learning alongside the students. I truly enjoy the middle school years and strive to bring the same excitement and joy to the students in class.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, reading, painting, and all kinds of crafts. I love spending time with friends and family. I have three lovely boys and a wonderful husband.

I look forward to a wonderful school year with everyone!

About Me

Hi everyone!

My name is Liz Cookson, and this is my twenty-second year teaching English Language Arts. Before teaching at Woodbury, I taught for fourteen years in Massachusetts at both the middle school and the high school levels. This will be my eighth year here at Woodbury – I have taught eighth grade on Jefferson and seventh grade on Oak and Maple.

I live in Manchester with my husband, our almost three year old daughter named Ciara, and our thirteen year old Basset Hound named Bessie.

I am looking forward to working with all of you and getting to know all of you as people, readers, and writers! Let’s make this a great year!

Welcome to science on Team Maple. I have been teaching at Woodbury for 15 years and will be starting my 19th year of teaching this fall. I am super excited join Team Maple this school year.

When I am not at Woodbury, I am spending time with my family, 3 children, 1 dog and a husband. We spend most of our days outside exploring the natural world.

I look forward to meeting new students and getting reacquainted with students my sixth grade team.
