Unit 2 Session 1 Writing for Readers
Students will look back at their writing folder filled with booklets from previous units, reading over their writing. They’ll make two piles: one that is easy to read and one that is hard to read, noticing differences. Then they will likely start a new true story from their life, thinking about ways to make it easy to read.

Unit 2 Session 1 Readers Have Super Powers to Look, Point, and Read Everything They Can!
Students will be reading poems, songs, familiar texts, books and lots of different kinds of print. They will practice pointing to each word to make sure what they are saying matches what they are reading. In doing this they will be practicing one-to-one match on all sorts of texts.
