Reader's Workshop Session #6:

When you read a book again and again it's just like seeing someone new on the playground that you've seen many times. When you re-read a book you begin to understand some new things about it. One thing you begin to see is that all the pages of a book go together. As you read the pages, it's important to put them together in your own words to learn as much as you can.

Reader's Workshop: Lesson #7

When you read a book again and again, you also have a chance to think more and talk more and learn more. Readers who reread know that rereading means rethinking. And rethinking can take you beyond the book.

Reader's Workshop: Lesson #8

As you read books again and again, you really do see new things each time you reread. You also start to notice the words more and more. You can read the words in a book like you read the words in the classroom, and in the school. You see the words, and you think, think, think, to figure out what they probably say.
