Today your students will imagine the noises different animals and objects might make and listen to the invented noises carefully, trying to hear each sound in that noise and write it down so that others reading the writing can make the noise in the same way.

Reader's Workshop: Avid Readers' Poetry Extravaganza

Today kids will be invited to do some preparation for the grand finale celebration that honors all the hard work they have done during this unit. They might write a new copy-cat poem, illustrate a favorite poems, or rereading poems in their best voices while acting it out. Then, students will celebrate!
