As part of the NEASC accreditation process, Salem High School has identified the development of a Portrait of a Learner (PoL) as an important goal for our school. This year, we are surveying a variety of stakeholders in order to identify the durable skills and dispositions the community wants to see in Salem graduates. We will be asking students to complete a survey on October 15, 2024 during their Advisory period. The survey questions will be:
Question 1:
Name 3 skills you believe Salem High School students need to be successful in their future, whether in college, careers, or personal life.
Question 2:
Name 3 character traits (i.e., valued behaviors, habits, and attitudes) you believe Salem High School students need to be successful in their future, whether in college, careers, or personal life.
Parents can now connect with the Salem School District, their school, and their teacher through ParentSquare.
ParentSquare consolidates all school communications into one location and can be accessed via a web portal (https://parentsquare.com) or a mobile app.
While creating a ParentSquare account is not necessary to receive messages, parents with accounts can view all relevant messaging in one place and customize how (email, text, app) and when (nightly digest or instantly) you receive messages. Other benefits of creating your account include customized language translation settings and access to interactive features that streamline teacher-to-parent communications.
