Classroom Information
Second grade is an amazing year where students begin to build upon all of the foundational skills they learned in first grade! They expand on what they learned in reader's, writer's, and math workshop to push themselves further! This year we will be using the Lucy Calkins' reading and writing units of study to help frame our learning. The children will learn how to write narrative, informational, and opinion pieces. We will also use many of the enVision math resources to support our exploration of algebra, numbers and operation, measurement and data, as well as geometry.

Monday: Spelling Sentences - Pick 7 out of your 10 spelling words to use in a complete sentence.

Every Other Friday: Circle Journal - Parents read and respond to their child's letter in their circle journal
