The 2023-2024 winter sports season start dates are as follows:
Monday, October 30 for Cheerleading (Registrations now closed)
Monday, November 6 for Boys & Girls Basketball (Registration now closed)
Monday, November 13 for Wrestling (Registration now closed)
Tryout schedules for Cheerleading and Basketball are posted below. Wrestling will not have tryouts and practice will start on Monday, November 13.
Registration for all sports will be done online using Arbiter Sports (formerly FamilyID) and will open on September 27. The link for Arbiter Sports can be found on the Woodbury Athletics home page. All candidates must have a current physical (after June 1, 2023) and all information on Arbiter Sports must be completed before tryouts begin.
Cheerleading
Coach - Bonnie Dalicandro
Tryout Schedule - Monday and Tuesday (10/30-10/31) from 2:30 - 4:30 pm, Thursday (11/2) from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. Tryouts will be held in the large gymnasium at Salem High School. Candidates will meet in the Woodbury School cafeteria after school on Monday and walk over together to the high school.
Girls Basketball
Girls D1 Coach - Mike Murray
Girls D5 Coach - Doug Devine
Tryout Schedule - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (11/6, 11/8, 11/9) from 2:30 - 4:00 pm each day. No tryouts on Tuesday (11/7). Tryouts could be extended beyond Thursday as circumstances dictate. Tryouts will be held in the Woodbury School gymnasium.
Boys Basketball

Tryout Schedule - Monday (11/6) 6th Grade from 4:00 - 5:00 pm, 7th Grade from 5:00 - 6:00 pm,

Wednesday (11/8) 6th Grade from 4:00 - 5:00 pm, 7th Grade from 5:00 - 6:00 pm,
8th Grade from 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Thursday (11/9) All remaining candidates from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

Wrestling

Wrestlers will meet in the Woodbury Cafeteria on Monday (11/13) after school. Practices will take place on non-meet days Monday through Thursday at the Salem Boys & Girls Club from 5:00 - 6:45 pm. Friday practices will be at Salem High School from 2:30 - 4:30 pm.
