Dr. Robert Ballard has been exploring the ocean since 1959. his discoveries have led to new scientific theories in geology, biology and chemistry. He has also uncovered shipwrecks and pieces of history. Much of this work has been made possible by new technologies that include use of TelePresence to explore the ocean floor. Dr. Ballard will be speaking at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the Roland Hayes Auditorium on Thursday, February 16th at 11:00 am and also at the Tennessee Aquarium to a sold out crowd in the evening.
