What is a blog?

Blogs are great places for discussion and reflection.  Blogs are websites that contain entries, called posts, that have the most recent post first.  Blogs are easy to create and maintain, and there are a number of hosts your  can use.  Creative Commons has a video that breaks blogging down.  

Why blog?

Blogs are a great place for discussion, reflection, and sharing.  Anyone can share media (images, video) or links and then promote discussion.  

Make It Practical!

• Blogging should be part of your daily practice, not an add-on.
• Blogging will make daily practices easier.
• It allows for student voice and discussion.  Great means of formative assessment.
• Be sure you can do what you ask students to do!
