Library Media Specialist
Thursday is my Lancaster day!
It is our mission to support our students and staff in their use of information and technology for teaching, learning, creating, and personal growth. We strive to continuously develop a print and digital collection in a wide range of genres and resources that support the Salem School District curriculum as well as encourage a lifelong love of reading.
Mrs. Occhipinti will be visiting classes with her book mobile once a week. Students may choose a book to borrow from the book mobile, request books with grade level order forms, and older students will learn how to put books on hold through the library catalog. Returned books will be collected from the classrooms every Friday and quarantined for 72 hours before returning to the library shelves or being checked out again. Students may also return their book on their regular library day. Books can be checked out for up to 2 weeks, and may be renewed if no one has the book on hold.
