Band is open to all students, Grades 9-12, who have previously studied a musical instrument either in or out of school. Marching Band requires occasional after-school rehearsal time and participation in various athletic events, parades, competitions, concerts and overnight trips. All Concert Band students are required to participate in the Salem High School Marching Band. Exceptional students will be encouraged to audition for All-State and All-Eastern ensembles and/or participate in festivals.
