All About Mrs. Chisholm's Fourth Grade!

Welcome to Team 23 - Mrs. Chisholm's fourth grade class!

In our classroom, the goal is that we become a team.  We support each other, lift each other up, celebrate victories, and rally when feeling defeated.  We are there for each other inside the classroom, and out. We truly are a family.

I'm hoping that all students will come in with a "growth mindset", believing that with work, anything is possible.  We will try, fail, and try again.  We will laugh, learn, and (hopefully) love coming to school!

Mrs. Chisholm

I am originally from Salem, growing up as a Barron Bobcat and Woodbury Warrior.  I was thrilled to be able to come back home to teach in Salem.  This year will be my 19th (eeek!) year teaching at North Salem, and 22nd year teaching, total.  While I began at North Salem teaching fifth grade, the majority of my time has been spent in fourth.  I consider myself to be one of the lucky few...I truly do what I love, and love what I do!  There's nothing better than seeing the excitement on a child's face when something "clicks" or they are congratulated for a job well done.  I truly believe that every child can, and work to help them to believe that, too!

I definitely consider myself to be a lifelong learner.  I received an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Castle College, a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and Childhood Development from Keene State College, and a Master's of Science in the Teaching of English from the University of New Hampshire. I continue to take courses at UNH during the summers to continue to grow and learn.

I live in Salem with my husband, Bill, our crazy five-year-old, Cammi, and my mom.  I'm sure you'll be hearing Cammi stories throughout the year, especially since she is now in Kindergarten at North Salem!  We have an attack cat named Morgan.  I love to read, crochet, and spend time with my family and friends.  I am a HUGE New England sports fan, and live for Bruins hockey, summery Sox games,  and freezing cold Pats games!  I help coach the North Salem Girls on the Run team, though I'm NOT an avid runner!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
