Welcome to SHS!: Tips on Staying Organized

Staying organized can save you time and energy, key to doing well in school and managing life's ups and downs.

You need to find a system to keep track of your materials and assignments that works for you.

Electronic Tips

Email/Gmail

Many offices, such as Guidance, the library as well as your teachers use your school email to communicate important information.  Add the gmail app to receive alerts or minimally plan to check it at least once a week.   You can also contact your teachers with questions through the school gmail directory.

Drive

Consider creating folders for your prior work so your Drive does not feel un-organized.

You can color code or "star" folders or documents that you use frequently.

Google Keep - think electronic post-its, add this app across your devices or use on your computer to take voice, image and drawing notes, add reminders, share and insert into other Google applications

Apps for School

If you have a smartphone consider getting these apps:

Google Classroom
