Grade K- Pushes and Pulls: Problem: Create and Present

Step One: Review the story "Clearing the Rocks"

Step Two: Design a model that moves rocks from Mylo's backyard to make room for his new swingset.  

Step Three: Review the Design Process video "Engineering Design Process" (from the Teacher Resource Page)

Essential Questions

1. In what ways do forces impact your daily life?
2. How are pushes and pulls related?
3. How can a step-by-step process help you design or improve a solution to a problem?

Students will create a presentation of their model as a small group using:

1. Popplet (STEM iPad) 

OR

2. Print images of student work to display. Student can present to class in small groups.
