  Reading Nautical Charts (remote)

Do you know how to read and understand a nautical chart? Nautical charts give us the "landmarks of the sea" – buoys, markers, shoreline features, water depth, bottom type, and the latitude and longitude of these features. Charts warn us of dangerous areas and enable us to determine safe passage, if we know how to read the chart and use the information that we find on them.
