POTTERY Course# 634, Grades 11-12, 1/2 Credit, Quarter This quarter course is an introduction to the elements and principles of art as they apply to pottery. Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of techniques including pinch, slab, coil, and wheel-thrown pottery. They will learn about all aspects of ceramic work including clay, kilns and glazes. Both sculptural and functional work will be explored. No molds will be used. Students will be encouraged to develop creativity, self-expression, and good craftsmanship. Pottery may be elected three times for Credit. Prerequisite: A Grade of B or better is required to repeat Pottery
