Professional Staff

Nydia Torres, Director

Welcome to Salem Preschool!

Welcome!  Thank you for your interest in the Salem Preschool Program. Our school consist of highly trained preschool staff that are the backbone of our program. The Salem Preschool Program provides a caring and nurturing environment.  Our staff is committed to reach each child and provide them with the foundational skills to become life-long learners.

We look forward to collaboration with our families through the beginning of your child’s educational journey.  Communication with parents is vital and we ask you to reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have throughout the preschool years.  We also encourage involvement with our Parent Teacher Committee (PTC).

Sarah Farrow: Teacher

This is my third year teaching but my 9th year with the Salem School District! I was previously a Registered Behavior Technician paraprofessional, a one-on-one paraprofessional, and a toddler teacher before that. I recently graduated from Granite State College with my Bachelors in Early Childhood and Special Education. Preschool age children are where my passion lies. I love watching the children begin their educational journey while providing supports to meet their individual learning styles. I look forward to learning and growing with your children.

Pauline Boujaoude: Teacher

I am very excited to start my third year as a preschool teacher in the Salem School District. It was my pleasure being a paraprofessional for four years within the Salem preschool program supporting students and providing a caring environment where kids can learn and grow. I am trilingual, and while holding a bachelor degree in law, I am pursuing my master’s in education at Merrimack College. I am so passionate about teaching preschoolers and I am looking forward to a great year hoping to put a smile on your children's faces, comfort in their hearts, and the joy of learning in their preschool journeys.

Melissa Nickerson: Teacher

I am excited to begin my first year with the Salem School District. I have a master’s degree in early childhood education and have been teaching preschool for several years. In the classroom, I focus on fostering a love of learning and developing a classroom community surrounded by kindness and inclusion. The best part of my job is witnessing student growth throughout the year. I am excited about the countless milestones we will reach as a class and those your child will reach as an individual. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!

This is my seventh year teaching in Salem School District within the preschool program and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I grew up in Salem, NH, attended Barron School and graduated from Salem High School. I have also taught an intensive special needs classroom, title I, and social skills program for kindergarten students. I love being able to work with children at the preschool level and help create a foundation of love for school and learning.

Brooke McGibbon: Teacher

This is my second full year teaching preschool in Salem. Last year I joined the team as a teacher in the 6th classroom that opened in January. Before that I had worked for the Salem School District for 8 years as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant and SEL Instructional Assistant. I have 7 years’ experience working with preschoolers at a private school before I started with Salem.  I grew up in Salem, went to the Salem schools and I am honored to continue working in Salem. I genuinely look forward to developing a relationship with each student, challenging them throughout the year and watching them grow. I am looking forward to a fun filled year!
