Salem Scramble: Volunteer Instructions

An Annual Salem Pride Event

Thank you for Volunteering!

The Salem Scramble relies on more than 100 community and parent volunteers to keep our costs down and keep our kids safe during this exciting annual event. We couldn't do this without your help, so thank you.

What You Need to Know

When should you show up?

Those who have signed up for the first shift on an obstacle -- and those who are signed up for general assistance -- should arrive by 8:15 a.m. at the latest. The first racer will leave the starting line at 8:50 a.m. This will give you time to check-in, get your t-shirt, and walk out to your obstacle.

If you are on the second shift, please arrive by 10:00 a.m.

Where should you park?

Parking for volunteers will be available behind the SHS CTE wing. The entrance is along side the 3 Seasons Cafe just south of the main SHS entrance before the Field of Dreams. (See map at right.)

Alternate parking is available in front of the school and in the main parking area by the SAU building.

What to do when you arrive?

There will be a Volunteer/Vendor booth at the back of the parking area. Please check-in at this booth BEFORE heading to your obstacle.

What do to when it's over?

You're welcome to hang around and enjoy the event or assist in the clean up.

Park Here

If volunteer parking is full, you can use the main parking lot, the area in front of the school, or the Field of Dreams parking lot.
