Screencastify: Google Extension

What is Screencastify?

  • Using the Google Chrome Extension, Screencastify, you and your students can create a screen cast. A screen cast is a digital recording of your computer screen, also known as a video screen capture, and contains audio narration.

Why should I/ my students use Screencastify?

  • This is a great tool for formative assessments, presentations, and delivering instruction. Screencastify integrates with Google Classroom and all recordings are saved to Google Drive.

How do I know if I have the Screencastify extension?

  • The SSD subscribes to the premium version of Screencastify.
  • All students have access to Screencastify as a Chrome Extension.
  •  Staff: Refer to video below to Enable Extension.
