About the Boosters

Salem High School Booster Club

Please allow us to introduce the Salem High School Booster Club, a non-profit organization that supports all teams in the SHS athletic program. Membership in the Booster Club is open to parents/guardians, students, coaches, teachers, friends and community leaders. We ask that every athlete’s family joins and supports the Booster Club, yearly membership to the Boosters Club is $20.00.  We also appreciate the support of non-athlete Salem High School families.

The Booster Club is the central organization to raise funds that are not covered through the athletic budget, replacing fund raising at the individual team level.  The Booster Club funds and organizes annual events which benefit over 1000 student athletes such as:

  • Hosting Fall, Winter, and Spring Award Banquets (These banquets are attended by all student athletes and their families.  Booster funds are used to cover the cost of awards and plaques as well as the dinner provided)
  • Purchasing Championship Clothing for every athlete on a Championship team
  • Purchasing the Scholar Athlete Awards, NHADA Student Leadership Conferences, Championship banners and emblems for all SHS athletes
  • Granting seven scholarships to graduating athlete seniors. Senior athletes must apply and meet scholarship requirements.
  • Providing refreshments at many home sporting events.
  • Purchasing spirit items to give away and bolster school spirit at games.  Funding bus to playoff games.
  • Selling spirit items for students and parents to show their Blue Devil Salem Pride.

Booster meetings will be held during the course of the school year.  The location, dates and times are TBD.  Please follow SHS Blue Devils Athletic Boosters on Facebook and watch for updated information.

You will receive e-mail notices of upcoming meetings and important announcements as a Boosters member. You can also check the Salem High website for information and sports schedules.

Please join Boosters and come out to the games and cheer on our dedicated and talented Blue Devil teams.  As a member we will keep you informed of all of the SHS Blue Devil games. This year the Booster Club will be looking for the SHS Blue Devil Super Fan at many home games! Wear your colors and show your spirit and you may be awarded the Super Fan of the Game!

Booster Club activities and projects are funded through membership fees, concession stand sales, 50/50 raffles and our sports program books. These programs could not exist without the involvement of many people and funding.
