Salem High School: Announcements


  • Have you been missing live music? Eager to go see a show? The Salem High School Chorus is hosting a drive-in open mic night on Wednesday, September 30th at 4:00, right outside in the Salem High parking lot! Bring a couple of chairs and enjoy some music put together by your fellow classmates. There is a suggested donation of 5 dollars per person or 15 dollars per car. For additional information, see Mrs. Horaj in the music office!
  • Kindness Matters Club is having their first meeting tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st in room B325 at 7 am.  Everyone is welcome to see you there.
  • FBLA will be having its first meeting of the year tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st at 7 am. The meeting will be held in Room B341.  Anyone considering joining Salem's Future Business Leader of America club is welcome to attend.

    • Friday – Class colors
  • Attention, atenciόn, Achtung, attention:  Have you completed three levels of German, Spanish, or French with a B or better?  Do you have a GPA of 3.0 or higher?  You may be eligible for a language honor society.  Please bring your transcript and $25 to either Sra. Coffill in B402 or Frau Cox in B312 by Friday, September 25.  Danke, gracias, merci, thanks.


  • Do you like helping out and giving back to your community?  Do you want service hours? Come on down to the PAC Monday mornings at 7:00 am and join Key Club!  SHS Key Club members dedicate our time to the betterment of our community through amazing services. We hope to see you there and feel free to bring friends! 

  • On October 14th, 2020, all seniors will be taking the SAT and all sophomores will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT. Juniors can also register to take the PSAT/NMSQT as practice for the SAT you will take this spring. Any juniors who are interested can sign up in the school counseling office by Friday, October 2nd with cash or check made out to Salem High School for $20. Sophomores and seniors do not need to register or pay for the exams.  If you have any questions, please see your school counselor.


  • The Salem Varsity Esports league is forming teams now for the fall semester.  Please let Doc, in room C602, or Ms. Henry, in room C603, know if you are interested in finding out more information on how to become a digital hero.”
