A Taste of Italy 

Grades 6-12

Course Description

Explore and experience a taste of Italian culture and cuisine.  Students will learn about Italian language, history, traditions, and of course food!  Each day, students will prepare and enjoy an authentic Italian meal guided by Nonni, a real Italian grandmother, with decades of experience. We will sit together like a large Italian family and enjoy a delicious meal while Nonni communicates with students in both Italian and English.  Depending on students’ preferences, we may make dishes like homemade fettuccine, lasagna, cavatelli, gnocchi, ravioli, meat sauce, meatballs, Sicilian pizza, arancini (rice balls), and artisan breads.  We’ll enjoy desserts like pizzelle, sesame seed cookies, and cannoli. Join us for a unique experience combining Italian food and culture. The skills learned in this program may be used for many years creating delicious meals at home. Students will have leftovers to take home and share. Each session is limited to 12; register early.   Buon Appetito!

Session 01: 4 classes: Tuesday through Friday, July 6-9: FILLED.  Please submit a registration for the wait list 

Session 02: 4 classes: Tuesday through Friday, July 13-16. FILLED.  Please submit a registration for the wait list
