Summer Enrichment Program: A Taste of Italy

A Taste of Italy

For students completing grades 6-11

Course Description

Explore and experience a taste of Italian culture and cuisine.  Students will learn about Italian language, history, traditions, and of course food!  Each day, students will prepare and enjoy an authentic Italian meal guided by a real Italian grandmother (Nonni) with decades of experience. Each day, students will create authentic Italian meals from scratch using fresh ingredients and original family recipes. We will then sit together like a large Italian family and enjoy a delicious meal while Nonni communicates with students in both Italian and English.  Our menu may include (depending on students’ preferences) homemade fettuccine, lasagna, cavatelli, gnocchi, ravioli, meat sauce, meatballs, Sicilian pizza, arancini (rice balls), and artisan breads.  Desserts may include cannoli, pizzelle, sesame seed cookies, and cannoli. We’ll have leftovers to take home and share. Buon Appetito!
