Our students have been organized for an educational field trip to:
Date of field trip: Thursday, November 7, 2019
Description of activity: Old Sturbridge Village
Purpose of activity: Students will experience what life was like for people living in early America.
Alternative to activity: Reading and writing activity related to everyday life in early America to be completed at school.
Departure date/time: 11/7/19 at 7:30 AM Return date/time: 11/7/19 at 2:00 PM
Transportation provided by:First Student
Chaperones/supervisor(s): Team teachers and Woodbury staff
Known planned activities during trip: Touring and exploring a recreated circa 1830s New England town to learn about everyday life for early Americans.
Recommended clothing/equipment/supplies: Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and sneakers/boots.
The cost of this trip is borne by the students. We therefore are requesting $ 30.00 to pay for the following expenses:
Transportation & Admission: $24.00 Team T-Shirt: $6.00
Incidental fees for meals are at an additional cost. Please be mindful of our allergy restrictions when bringing a prepared lunch: no nuts, peaches, nectarines, plums, prunes, apricots, cherries, strawberries, eggs, or shellfish. Please remind your student they may not share food with other students due to severe allergies across team.
The safety of all students is extremely important to the administration and staff of the Salem School District. It is our obligation to take reasonable precautions for the safety and well-being of all students while on a field trip. Your child is also required to act responsibly to ensure his/her safety and the safety of others.
In order to be certain that you understand all of the above information, we ask that you sign the consent
form on the reverse side and return it to school by Monday, October 28, 2019.
