Welcome to Woodbury
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Woodbury community. The elementary to middle school transition is very exciting and our goal is to provide our families with as much information about Woodbury to help make the grade 5 to 6 a smooth transition. This page contains information about Woodbury's scheduling process, extra-curricular opportunities for your student, and a timeline of events that will help with this transition.
I am beyond excited to welcome you and your student to the Woodbury community. I look forward to working with you over the next three years and want you to know that I am here to support your child in any way I can.

We will begin the year with a 6th-grade student orientation. More information will follow as we get closer to the date.
Your child will be carefully placed on one of three teams: Bears, Owls, or Hawks. The team placement process is extensive and has already begun. Next year’s 6th-grade school counselor, Elizabeth Remick, will collaborate with each elementary school counselor to receive information on your student’s likes, dislikes, learning styles, friendships, etc. Based on these conversations and academic data, students are assigned to their 6th-grade teams. In the spring, students will receive information about music and performing arts opportunities at Woodbury that will help round out their schedule.
We encourage all our students to get involved and participate in activities outside the classroom. At Woodbury, we have several opportunities for students. We offer athletic teams for the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Woodbury also offers the P.O.W.E.R ( Positive Ongoing Woodbury Enrichment and Recreation) Club after school, which allows students to join a club that interests them. Please click the following links for more details: Woodbury Athletics and P.O.W.E.R Club. Next year's fall sports and POWER Club registration process will be sent out this summer.
