Continuing and Alternative Education: Tutoring Program

Committed to Helping All Students Find Academic Success

Salem Continuing Education's tutoring program offers students ages 18 and older, free, confidential, individual instruction in reading, writing, math, English/ESL, and preparation for the high school equivalency exam (HiSET®). Volunteer tutors receive training and ongoing support as they work in partnership with their students to reach individual educational goals.

The foundation of the program lies in one-to-one tutoring. Meetings with volunteer tutors are confidential and happen at a time and public place that is mutually convenient.

To be matched with a tutor OR to become a volunteer tutor, please send an email to Salemcontinuingeducation@sau57.org

Our program is in need of volunteer tutors to work individually with students on instruction in reading, writing, math, English/ESL, and preparation for the high school equivalency exam.  Classes and tutoring sessions meet remotely and are held throughout the year.   If you would like to share your knowledge of a subject and help a student reach his or her academic goals, please contact Salem Continuing Education: 603-893-7074.
