Salem Continuing Education's Enrichment Program, for adults 18 and over, offers a variety of non credit classes focused on education, socialization, and the sharing of common interests. Students from all communities are welcome to register for a class.

Colored pencils are a wonderful medium that combines the detail you can get in drawing, with the vibrant colors available in painting. Learn the basic skills of colored pencils, and apply them to create finished drawings. Supply list emailed upon registration

Unwind your body and mind with this gentle, yet invigorating yoga and stretching class. Combining flowing movements of Vinyasa with the deep relaxation of stretching, you’ll leave you feeling more in tune with your body. Bring a mat and blocks.

Mah Jongg was developed in the mid 1800’s and today is played by millions around the world. Beginning will introduce rules of the game, tiles use, how to interpret the card, and how to play. Beyond Beginning is for those who know the game and who would like more practice and supervised playing time.

Join the millions of U.S. players enjoying this fast-paced game. While tennis or ping pong skills can translate easily, no experience in nets sports is required, just the willingness to learn Pickleball and have fun! Beyond Beginning is for those who have some experience playing Pickleball and who wish to continue practicing.

Learn how to make striking imagery that may be worth framing. Using watercolor and pen, we will explore the basics of what makes interesting well-balanced composition, all without the stress of making it look like something realistic. All levels welcome. Supply list emailed upon registration.

This course will cover more topics in Word and Excel. In Word, we will practice sorting and organizing table data, inserting graphics, accessing templates, and using styles. In Excel, we will learn how to use more complex formulas using relative vs. absolute references, use built in table functions, create and format charts, and work with data lists. Laptops provided.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art. Practicing Tai Chi can improve l health and reduce stress. This class will explore various Qi-Gong routines, as well as the Classical Tai Chi short form referred to as the 24 form.

Start your day off with flexibility and relaxation in this gentle full body yoga class. We will gently flow and explore the connection between our body, mind, and spirit. We will also practice meditation. Bring a mat, and other props like blocks, blankets, or pillows.

Join this cardio and strength training workout if you want an effective full body workout. We will focus on strengthening and toning, and pair weights with cardio intervals for a total body burn. Bring a mat and weights.

If you pay by credit card, please note that you will pay a processing fee charged by your credit card company. The transaction will post from Booktix (NJ) on your credit card statement.

- Drop off a completed Print Registration Form and check (made out to Salem Continuing Education) or exact cash to the Continuing Education Office located in Salem High School, Room A164.

All classes will meet at Salem High School, 44 Geremonty Drive, Salem NH. Enter through the After Hours Drop Off/Performing Arts entrance. Classroom numbers will be posted in the lobby.

Enrichment classes are for students ages 18 plus.

Students will not be added to the class roster until both registration and payment have been received. Regrettably, we are not able to save spots without a registration and payment.

If you withdraw at least one week prior to the start of class, you will receive a refund. Day of or once classes begin, no refunds will be given.

We do not send immediate confirmations. Students will be sent an email with important class information as we get closer to the start date.

Some of our classes require students to bring supplies to class. Students will be sent an email with supplies/what to bring information as we get closer to the start of class.

Register early! A course may be canceled if there is insufficient enrollment. In that instance, a full refund will be issued.

The 15% senior discount, when noted, is for students ages 65 years of age or older

We may occasionally need to hire a new teacher or make a change to a class schedule.

For remote classes, your instructor will send you next steps and links to the course prior to the start date. Students should have a working email and access to Zoom.
